Anaheim Clinical Trials’ Dr. Anna Parker Recognized for Diabetes Research

Anaheim, California (January 11, 2016) -- Anaheim Clinical Trials (ACT), an adult and pediatric Phase I through Phase IV clinical research center with full-service CRO capabilities announced that Anna Parker, DCN, MS, RD, CDE, CCRC has received multiple awards in recognition for her research in Diabetes.

For her work in prediabetes and diabetes medical nutrition therapy, Dr. Parker was the recipient of the Diabetes Care and Education Dietetic Practice Group Publication Award for 2015 and the 2014 Huddleson Award for the article “The Effect of Medical Nutrition Therapy by a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Patients with Prediabetes Participating in a Randomized Controlled Clinical Research Trial,” which was featured in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (2014;114(11):1739-1748).

Both awards were presented during the annual 2015 Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo in Nashville, TN. The Huddleson award recognizes an Academy member or registered dietitian who has published an exceptional paper in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics during the 2014 calendar year. The award is named in honor of Mrs. Mary P. Huddleson in appreciation for her outstanding contributions to the scientific literature in nutrition and dietetics throughout her 19 years as Editor of the Journal of the American Dietetic Association.
