Vizient, Inc. announces it will host the 2018 Vizient Connections Summit, focused on maximizing supply chain operations and pharmacy performance, May 1-3 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
The conference agenda is designed for executive leaders from supply chain, pharmacy, value analysis, nursing and service lines with supply chain responsibility. In addition to organized networking opportunities, the event will feature educational and interactive sessions on topics including:

“The Connections Summit will bring together approximately 1,000 members from U.S. academic medical centers, pediatric hospitals, large integrated delivery networks and community hospitals for a deep dive into all aspects of the health care supply chain. In addition to the educational and networking opportunities, we will celebrate the many achievements of our members over the course of 2017 as they worked to lower the cost of care in their organizations,” said Byron Jobe, president and chief executive officer for Vizient.
Dr. Ian Pumpian, professor of educational leadership at San Diego State University and author, will be the opening keynote speaker. Pumpian is nationally recognized for his leadership of programs that prepare the next generation of school leaders. Actor and activist Gary Sinise will speak at the closing session about the work of his foundation, which focuses on activities that honor and assist veterans, first responders and their families.

Vizient will host its fall Connections Summit, focused on clinical, quality and operational performance improvement strategies, in October at the Wynn Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas.
