MADISON, N.J., Nov. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wyeth announced the following executive promotions today.
Mary Katherine Wold, 52, has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President -- Tax and Treasury, Wyeth. Ms. Wold joined Wyeth in 2002 as Vice President -- Taxes, with responsibility for the Corporation’s worldwide tax matters. She currently serves on Wyeth’s Human Resources and Benefits Committee. Prior to joining Wyeth, Ms. Wold had been a partner in the New York law firm of Shearman & Sterling since 1988 and was head of its worldwide tax practice group from 1995 through 2000. Previously, she had served for two years as counsel in the Office of International Tax Counsel in the U.S. Treasury Department, which oversees international tax legislation, regulation and treaties.
Ms. Wold earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Hamline University and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School.
Etienne N. Attar, 51, has been promoted to the position of President, Wyeth Consumer Healthcare -- International. Mr. Attar most recently served as Senior Vice President, Canada / Europe, Middle-East and Africa for Wyeth Consumer Healthcare. With his promotion, Mr. Attar has been appointed a member of the Wyeth Operations Committee by its Board of Directors. He has held a number of sales, marketing and general management positions throughout his 17-year career with the Company. Prior to joining Wyeth, Mr. Attar held sales and marketing positions with Abbott Laboratories, Bristol-Myers and Cyanamid Canada.
Mr. Attar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Master of Science degree in toxicology, both from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
