“We’re delighted to bring the conference to Chicago,” said Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). “In keeping with our theme: ‘Brilliant science, smart business, better living, it’s all here,’ we’ve added several new aspects to the conference.” Sponsored by the BIO, the meeting is the world’s largest gathering of researchers, CEOs, investors and suppliers with interest in the diverse science of biotechnology.

“BIO’s program is designed to offer fresh content for the attendees, whether this is their first conference or 14th. We challenge ourselves to create up-to-the minute programming that takes advantage of the latest ‘hot topics’ and industry innovation. With guidance from a committee of local biotech leaders and professionals, we have produced a four-day event packed with something for everyone,” noted Greenwood.

Among the firsts for the conference are: * Four new topics have been added to the list of breakout sessions: Devices and Diagnostics, Emerging Markets, Marketing, and Regenerative Medicine. * Three new specialty pavilions in the BIO 2006 Exhibit Hall which offer a unique set of exhibits.
