In what they’re calling a ‘biological surprise’, a team of expert international geneticists led by a University of Otago researcher have discovered a key piece of information about how the human brain is put together and how such a complex piece of wiring assembles itself in utero. The finding recently appeared as a feature article in Nature Genetics.
