IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--UC Irvine Extension will offer two new courses on the development, production and regulation of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The free, online courses are part of the University’s OpenCourseWare (OCW) initiative, which keeps with the altruistic spirit of education and allows self-learners to view and utilize materials and resources through the Web. These two courses, titled “Medical Quality Product Systems” and “Regulatory Requirements for Pharmaceuticals,” will allow life science professionals from around the world to better understand the circumstances under which new medical technologies and pharmaceuticals are being developed, the regulations that govern them and the processes needed to ensure a safe, viable product.
