(Nasdaq: TRMS) (“Trimeris”) today announced worldwide net sales of FUZEON for the first quarter of 2010 were $24.4 million, down 12 percent from $27.8 million in the first quarter of 2009, and down 4 percent from $25.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2009. Net sales of FUZEON in the U.S. and Canada for the first quarter of 2010 were $7.2 million, down 28 percent from $10.0 million in the first quarter of 2009, and down 20 percent from $9.0 million in the fourth quarter of 2010. Net sales of FUZEON outside the U.S. and Canada for the first quarter of 2010 were $17.3 million, down 3 percent from $17.8 million in the first quarter of 2009, and up 5 percent from $16.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2009.
