PORT ST. LUCIE — Things are starting to heat up again in St. Lucie County’s biotech recruitment efforts. The Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County has met with four research institutes in the past month about setting up shop in the area, and local officials are preparing for another trip out west to visit additional firms, said Larry Pelton, EDC president.
