Thermo Fisher Scientific to Lay Off 68, Close E. Providence Facility Next Year

Projo -- EAST PROVIDENCE — Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global company and local manufacturer of disease test kits, will cease operations in Rhode Island next year and lay off 66 employees, a company spokesman confirmed Thursday.
