SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - July 24, 2008) - Theravance, Inc. (NASDAQ: THRX) reported today its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2008. Net loss for the second quarter of 2008 was $27.0 million, compared with $45.1 million for the same period of 2007, a decrease of $18.1 million. Net loss per share was $0.44 for the second quarter 2008 compared with a net loss per share of $0.75 for the second quarter 2007.
