January 22, 2011 -- At the JP Morgan Healthcare Conference, interest ran high as investors listened to the 14 China life science companies that presented their stories and plans on the dedicated China track; PwC released a report projecting the US will lose its overwhelming lead in medical device innovation to China and other emerging countries; China and the US announced a public-private partnership to improve healthcare; Inner Mongolia Free Han and Mongolia Pharmaceutical will acquire Echosens SA, a French medical device company; Wolters Kluwer Health will set up a China JV with fellow drug information company Medicom of China; Harbor BioSciences out-licensed the China rights for three products to CIPI; and Eisai has begun operations of Eisai (Suzhou) Trading Co., Ltd., located in the Suzhou Industrial Park.
