The top 5 employers on Memphis Business Journal’s annual Medical Device Companies list make up nearly 5,000 local full-time employees. That’s a larger employment footprint than Kroger, which employs about 4,700 in Memphis.
The industry is growing, as well. Employment at list companies grew by more than 7 percent from 2015 to 2016.
