RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. & MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Talecris Biotherapeutics, Inc. (http://www.talecris.com) and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) (http://www.wfh.org) jointly announced today that Talecris has provided WFH an educational grant to support its global Laboratory Science Program. The grant, totaling $160,000, provides funding for several program components that collectively seek to improve a laboratory’s proficiency and expertise in the accurate and timely diagnosis of hemophilia, with an emphasis on developing countries. Additionally, a portion of the grant will be applied by WFH to its Corporate Partnership program, providing unrestricted funds in support of WFH’s mission to improve and sustain care for people with inherited bleeding disorders around the world.
