Madrid, Spain and Heidelberg, Germany, September 10, 2015 - SYGNIS AG (Frankfurt: LIO1; ISIN: DE000A1RFM03; Prime Standard) today announced that it will present its prorietary TruePrime(TM) technology to experts from universities, corporations, associations and governmental agencies at the Single Cell Genomics Conference 2015. This year's conference will be hosted by the Netherland Hubrecht Institute and will take place from September 16-18, 2015 in Utrecht.
SYGNIS' TruePrime(TM) product portfolio is dedicated to the amplification of genomic DNA from smallest amounts of biological samples down to single cells based on its revolutionary novel multiple displacement amplification (MDA) technology for use with various DNA or RNA species for a multitude of applications. Built on SYGNIS' proprietary primase TthPrimPol, SYGNIS' TruePrime(TM) technology stands for a revolutionary way to amplify DNA or RNA in a sample without the need of any synthetic random primers.
The features of the TruePrime(TM) technology make this product highly attractive for a broad range of applications and downstream analyses, especially in life science areas such as single cell genomics, where researchers need to obtain biological information from smallest amounts of samples.
Armin Schneider, Senior Vice President Research of SYGNIS, will present a poster titled TruePrime(TM), a superior technology for single cell whole genome amplification based on TthPrimPol . Poster sessions will take place on September 16th from 18.25 to 21.00 CET and on September 17 th from 17.10 to 19.30 CET.
Single cell genomics is rapidly emerging as a revolutionary technology transforming many fields of biological research. Through its versatile applications (single cell genome sequencing, single cell transcriptomics, various single cell epigenetic profiling approaches), researchers can characterize the genetic and functional properties of individual cells in their native conditions, leading to numerous experimental and clinical opportunities.

TruePrime TM is the brand name of a revolutionary novel MDA technology and one of the key products in SYGNIS' portfolio. TruePrime TM is based on the combination of SYGNIS proprietary DNA primase "TthPrimPol" and the extremely processive and high-fidelity Phi29 polymerase to amplify uniformly total genomic DNA for a multitude of applications including next generation sequencing and single cell analysis. The extraordinary strand displacement capacity of the Phi29 polymerase allows TthPrimPol to generate new primers on the displaced strands that are extended by Phi29 DNA pol, resulting in exponential isothermal DNA amplification without the need of any synthetic random primers.
