Stem Cell Therapeutics Announces Q2 2010 Financial Results

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - August 26, 2010) - Stem Cell Therapeutics Corp. (TSX VENTURE: SSS) (“SCT” or the “Company”) today announced its results for the period ended June 30, 2010. The Company’s loss for the six month period ended June 30, 2010 increased by $1,022,604 to $2,896,599 ($0.02 per common share) from the loss of $1,873,995 ($0.01 per common share) reported for the six month period ended June 30, 2009. The primary reason for the increase in loss was an increase in research and development expenses, and increases in general administration expenses including severance packages for the Company’s executives. As of June 30, 2010 the working capital of the Company was $2,089,841 ($4,100,869 as of December 31, 2009).
