WOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SRU Biosystems, Inc. (“SRU”) is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Resonant Biotechnologies, LLC (“RESONANT“) to obtain a nonexclusive patent license and release under U.S. Patent No. 6,218,194 (hereinafter “the ’194 patent”). The ’194 patent disclosed analytical methods and apparatus for an optical sensor device with refractive index modulation, and was issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on April 17, 2001, to the inventors Nikolai Mikhailovich Lyndin, Vladimir Alexandrovich Sychugov, Alexander Valentinovich Tishchenko, and Boris Alexandrovich Usievich. This agreement also resolved pending litigation between RESONANT, SRU and SRU’s customers in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
