Spectroscopy®, a multimedia platform that promotes the use of spectroscopic instrumentation in applied research, environmental testing, quality control and the life sciences, is accepting nominations for the 2021 Emerging Leader in Atomic Spectroscopy award.
“We are eager to honor yet another talented young atomic spectroscopist who is making strides toward the advancement of atomic spectroscopy techniques and applications through Spectroscopy®’s 2021 Emerging Leader in Atomic Spectroscopy award,” said Mike Hennessy Jr., president and CEO of MJH Life Sciences™, parent company of Spectroscopy®.
Awarded annually since 2017, the Emerging Leader in Atomic Spectroscopy award recognizes the achievements and aspirations of a talented young atomic spectroscopist who has made strides early in his or her career toward advancing techniques and applications in the field. The winner is selected by an independent scientific committee and must be within 10 years of receiving his or her highest academic degree in the year the award is presented.
The award will be presented by Spectroscopy® magazine at the 2021 European Winter Conference on Plasma Spectroscopy. The conference will take place Jan. 31-Feb. 5, 2021, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with the awardee’s travel expenses completely covered. The winner will also be featured in an article in a print issue of Spectroscopy® and in an interview published in Spectroscopy®’s electronic newsletter and on its website.
