ST. LOUIS, April 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sigma-Aldrich Corporation is pleased to announce that Carl Turza, 47, has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective May 1, 2006. In his new role, Turza will lead the company’s Information Technology and Internet functions and will report to Mike Hogan, Chief Administrative Officer and CFO.
Turza brings over two decades of senior IT management experience to Sigma- Aldrich from a series of assignments at W.W. Grainger, AlliedSignal Aerospace and other large and complex organizations. Carl’s wealth of relevant experience and technical knowledge are expected to help him as he and his team accelerate the continuous improvement of Sigma-Aldrich’s Information Technology and customer service capabilities to most fully meet customer and shareholder needs.
Turza holds an MBA degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois in Champaign. Carl, his wife Christine, and family will be relocating to St. Louis.
