Sigma-Aldrich Corporation Announces Appointment of George Miller as Sr. Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

ST. LOUIS, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sigma-Aldrich is pleased to announce the appointment of George Miller as Sr. Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. In his new role, Miller will join the company’s executive management team and manage its legal services and corporate governance processes. He will report to Jai Nagarkatti, Chairman, President & CEO.

Miller brings to Sigma-Aldrich twenty years of corporate legal experience from large global public companies in the chemical and transportation industries. Prior to his appointment at Sigma-Aldrich, Miller (age 54) was employed by Novartis, most recently as General Counsel in their New York office and previously in their offices in Basel, Switzerland and Tokyo, Japan. Prior to his employment with Novartis, Miller served as Managing Director-Regional Counsel for Federal Express Corporation in their Tokyo, Japan office. Miller earned his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC, his Masters of International Management from Thunderbird’s Garvin School of International Management, Glendale Arizona, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
