Tokyo (JCN) Jan 11, 2006 - Shionogi and Purdue Pharma jointly announced on January 10 that they have concluded a multi-year agreement to develop and co-market new drug compounds for the treatment of pain. Specifically, the two companies will proceed with three research programs that focus on receptors and pathways known to modulate the pain response in the body, in order to discover compounds for analgesic drugs.
