Chapel Hill, NC – (December 4, 2013) – Kristen Harrington, Principal Programmer/Analyst, Rho, was appointed as the 2016 Conference Chair and a member of the Executive Committee for the Southeastern SAS User’s Group (SESUG). The Southeastern SAS Users Group (SESUG) is a Regional Users Group (RUG) for users of SAS Software.

SESUG hosts an annual conference in a predetermined southeastern city of the United States. The SESUG conference benefits both SAS users and managers interested in the use of SAS Software, and is a great opportunity for significant SAS training and networking with other professionals.
In her role as conference chair and member of the Executive Committee, Kristen will be responsible for planning, organizing and running the conference. She will act as the point of contact for a few essential responsibilities such as maintaining the conference budget; coordinating with the SESUG Executive Council members for role delegation in areas such as conference sponsorship, contracts and conference volunteers; coordinating with SAS, the major sponsor of the conference; planning conference events at the venue; determining possible local activities for the attendees and their families to participate in during the conference; and coordinating hotel reservations and arranging discounted deals on transportation for attendees.
Kristen is not the first employee of Rho to hold this essential position for SESUG. Steve Noga, chief strategist of technology R&D at Rho, was a conference chair and member of the Executive Committee for the 2003 term of the SESUG conference.
