Phenomenex, Inc. to Present Biofuels Analysis Workshop at Pittcon

Torrance, CA (December 10, 2008) - Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of separation science consumables, will present a workshop, "Analytical Challenges in Biofuel Analysis," at the 2009 Pittsburgh Conference in Chicago. The session is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 in Room S405a at McCormick Place.

Speakers include Jim Mott of Shimadzu, Professor Foster Agblevor of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Professor Blake Simmons of Lawrence Berkeley Labs' Bioenergy Institute and Amy Sluiter of National Renewable Energy Labs, as well as Sky Countryman of Phenomenex.

The workshop will cover important current topics in this growing field including new GC solutions for ethanol analysis and new methods and advanced imaging techniques for biomass applications.
