CRANBURY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pharmacy Times Continuing Education™ (PTCE), a leader in continuing education for retail, health system, managed care and specialty pharmacists, recently launched the educational video activity titled “Demystifying Medical Cannabis in Disease State Management: What Clinicians Need to Know,” announced Jim Palatine, RPh, MBA, president of PTCE.

The interdisciplinary educational video activity featured Paul P. Doghramji, M.D., FAAFP, family physician, Collegeville Family Practice, medical director, Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, as the moderator; and Mary M. Bridgeman, Pharm.D., BCPS, CGP, FASCP, clinical associate professor, department of pharmacy practice and administration, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy at Rutgers University, internal medicine clinical pharmacist, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey; and Alex Y. Bekker, M.D., Ph.D., M.S., professor and chair, department of anesthesia and perioperative care, professor, department of physiology and pharmacology, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey, as the two panelists who discussed and provided an overview of medical cannabis, identified its therapeutic role, examined its regulation and established the role of health care providers in prescribing medical cannabis.
