Pfizer Inc. (PFE) likely will meet its financial targets for 2011 and won’t release any blockbuster drug this year, Chief Executive Officer Ian Read told Expansion in an interview.
The U.S.-based drugmaker of the cholesterol treatment Lipitor aims to post revenue of $65 billion to $67.2 billion and earnings per share of $1.09 to $1.24, Read told the newspaper.
Pfizer will continue to bet on Spain as one of its markets even as the economic crisis hits the pharmaceutical industry, the newspaper said.
