The co-marketing relationship allows both companies to share information, helping customers to certify that their products are in accordance with CPSIA regulations on acceptable lead levels, which will continue to decrease. As of February 10, 2009, the limit for lead content in children’s products was reduced to 600 ppm. It will decline to 300 ppm on August 14, 2009 and to 100 ppm in 2010. While the CPSC has recently extended the deadline for certain testing programs for manufacturers by one year, the requirement that products conform to these standards remains in place.
