A registered nurse and nursing home administrator, she will oversee all PSC facilities in PA
PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC), one of the nation’s leading providers of post-acute care for medically fragile children, today announced the appointment of Mary L. Hoffman as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Hoffman, a registered nurse and a licensed nursing home administrator who has more than 30 years of experience in leading care facilities for vulnerable populations, was promoted to COO following her appointment in May 2018 as the Regional Director of Operations for PSC’s Point Pleasant, Quakertown, Doylestown, Lancaster and Hopewell facilities in Pennsylvania.
Hoffman came to PSC in 2018 from Elderwood Administrative Services (EAS) in upstate New York, where she was the Regional Director of Operations for skilled nursing facilities in Western and Southern Tier New York. Before that, she was the COO at Erie County Medical Center Corporation, where her executive oversight responsibilities included Patient Care Services, Rehabilitation and Ambulatory service lines, Case Management and Post-Acute Care including a 390-bed skilled nursing facility. Mary also formerly served as President and CEO of Kenmore Mercy Hospital and Chief Operating Officer of Lawley Benefits Group.

A fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Hoffman is a registered nurse and a licensed nursing home administrator. She earned her BS in nursing from Niagara University and her MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Mary is a 2011 graduate of Leadership Buffalo. In 2015-2016 she completed an executive education course in Managing Health Care Delivery at the Harvard Business School.
Mary serves as a Trustee for D’Youville College and an Advisor for Girard Place. She is a past member of the Niagara University Board of Advisors and the SUNY Buffalo School of Management Dean’s Advisory Council, the Western New York Healthcare Association Board and the Catholic Health System Long Term Care Board.
