PDI, Inc. Announces Appointment Of David N. Stievater As Senior Vice President, Emerging Pharma

SADDLE RIVER, N.J., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PDI, Inc. a contract sales and marketing services provider to the pharmaceutical industry, today announced the appointment of David N. Stievater to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Emerging Pharma reporting directly to Mr. Michael Marquard, CEO. Mr. Stievater will join the company effective November 13, 2006 and will serve on the Executive Committee.

Mr. Stievater comes to PDI from ImpactRx, Inc., a provider of proprietary physician data for measuring pharmaceutical promotional effectiveness. At ImpactRx, Mr. Stievater served as V.P. Sales and V.P. Business Development and was a member of the executive team. He led the sales organization through a period of rapid expansion, more than doubling revenue and significantly expanding their customer base. Prior to ImpactRx, Mr. Stievater spent several years providing consulting services including marketing decision support to the biopharmaceutical industry, and concluded an eleven-year tenure with the Monitor Company Group, L.P. as Partner and Global Account Manager. He has advised pharmaceutical clients on such issues as sales force strategy and multi-channel physician marketing. Mr. Stievater began his career as a financial analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University.
