IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - The addition of Louise Eggleton to Paragon Biomedical’s leadership team reinforces the company’s commitment to a strong global presence, according to Paragon’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Gena Reed said Eggleton brings the experience and perspective needed to continue Paragon’s plans for international expansion and growth. Eggleton joined Paragon on January 4 as Vice President, European Operations, and will lead the company’s operational strategy in that region.
“Louise brings so much knowledge to the table,” said Reed. “She understands the pressures, dynamics, and the importance of successful project delivery because she has worked both sides of our industry. Her direct, relevant experience is reassuring to clients, particularly as they watch their research budgets tighten while market expectations soar.”
Reed said Eggleton’s leadership roles at pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations (CROs) have given her the refined tools, expertise, and insights needed to conduct global studies.
Eggleton brings nearly 20 years of global operations leadership and clinical trial management experience at pharmaceutical companies and CROs. Before joining Paragon, she was Vice President of Clinical Operations at a global CRO, and prior to that, she held project management and leadership roles at a leading global pharmaceutical company.
The addition of Eggleton to Paragon’s executive team reflects the company’s long-term commitment to attracting talented professionals who have genuine passion for research, according to Mark Harvill, Paragon’s President and Chief Operating Officer.
“We’re really excited to have Louise join us because she brings the exact skills needed to conduct complex, global studies,” said Harvill. “I’ve known her for several years and have seen, on many occasions, the results of her remarkable ability to focus talented, motivated project teams on the achievement of a client’s goals. She’s a tremendous asset.”
