Paradigm Medical Announces Operations And Sales Management Reorganization

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Paradigm Medical Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: PMED.OB/PMEDW.OB), a leading innovative producer of ultrasound devices for the ophthalmic and medical industries, disclosed today a major reorganization of its global operations and sales management, effective immediately.

Al Franklin joins Paradigm Medical as Vice-President Domestic Sales, replacing Michael Austin, who has left the Company. Mr. Franklin has been associated with the ophthalmic industry for the last 25 years, previously serving at Pfizer and Pharmacia.

Christina O’Connor has been promoted to Vice-President International Sales. Ms. O’Connor joined Paradigm Medical in 2004 as Regional Sales Representative, and has been serving as International Manager for Europe and the Middle East. Along with global sales management responsibility Ms. O’Connor will continue to direct the European and Middle East distribution channels.

Deborah Petric has joined Paradigm Medical as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, replacing Thomas Martin, who has left the Company. Ms. Petric has served in similar positions at Amerace Laboratories, Sorenco Laboratories, and Nature’s Ways Products.

Julio Maximo has been promoted to Vice-President Operations. Mr. Maximo joined Paradigm Medical as an Ultrasound technician in 2001, and was promoted to Ultrasound engineer in 2002. Mr. Maximo took charge of production in October 2004, and was named Director of Production in February 2005. A native of Brazil, Mr. Maximo earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from FIEC.

Chad Scott has been promoted to International Territory Manager for Asia with similar responsibilities for portions of the Western region of the U.S. Mr. Scott joined Paradigm Medical in 2003 as manager of the service department and most recently has been involved with sales, marketing and customer relations.

There has been especially strong global interest in the new LD700 Visual Field Scanner (VFS) Perimeter, which has become our third-generation perimeter, and which has already received U.S. Food and Drug Administration and European CE Mark regulatory approval.”

Perimeters are used to measure visual field loss caused by glaucoma or other diseases. Perimeters have become a standard care in the protection and monitoring of glaucoma and macular degeneration worldwide.
