HOUSTON, Feb. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- What can you do in 20 minutes? Mow the lawn, get some exercise and catch some rays. That’s what one Kentucky man did to win an iPad® from the AcceleDent Smile & Share online video contest. See the winning video here: http://www.acceledent.com/smile-and-share. The contest invited people to submit a video 20 seconds or less showing creative ways to pass the time while wearing AcceleDent, a non-invasive, lightweight, hands-free orthodontic device that may help cut time spent in orthodontic treatment by up to half. Entries were posted on YouTube and voted on by viewers.
AcceleDent is a first-of-its-kind medical device which works along with conventional orthodontic treatment to accelerate tooth movement. It is used once daily for a recommended 20 minutes, during which users can simultaneously carry out most routine tasks. Its unique SoftPulse Technology, which generates small vibrations or micropulses, has been reported to make the orthodontic experience not only faster, but also more comfortable.
“Since patients are free to go about most of their daily activities while wearing AcceleDent, we thought it would be fun to find out how creative people can be with their 20 minutes, and we received some really fun video entries,” said Kathleen Malaspina, Chief Innovation Officer and Vice President of Marketing at OrthoAccel® Technologies.
The AcceleDent Smile & Share Contest began December 6, 2012 and ran through February 6, 2013.
About AcceleDent: In 2012, AcceleDent was cleared by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) as a Class II Medical Device. For several years, AcceleDent has been changing the orthodontic experience for patients in other countries, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Australia and most recently South Korea.
