Noted Genome Researcher Dr. Francis Collins From National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI)To Speak At June 8 Briefing On Kangaroo Genome Project

SAN FRANCISCO, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The State of Victoria, Australia and the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) will hold a press briefing on The Kangaroo Genome Project on Tuesday, June 8 at the BIO 2004 Conference in San Francisco. Dr. Francis Collins, Director of the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) will talk about a pioneering project to sequence the genome of a variety of kangaroo.
