SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Northstar Neuroscience, Inc. (Nasdaq: NSTR) announced today that it will discuss the status of three of its clinical trials investigating the use of Northstar’s cortical stimulation therapy system during a conference call scheduled for October 10, 2006. On the call, Northstar will provide updates for its EVEREST study in the treatment of hand/arm disability following stroke, its CHESTNUT study involving individuals with stroke-related Broca’s aphasia, and its study of cortical stimulation to treat severe tinnitus. Management will host the conference call starting at 4:30 p.m. eastern time (1:30 p.m. pacific time), which will be concurrently web cast. The company plans to announce its financial results for the third quarter of 2006 in November.
