NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the long-pending proposal for takeover of the Thiruvananthapuram-based Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology as an autonomous institution under the administrative control of the Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
