LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2006--NitroMed, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTMD - News) today reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2006. Total revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2006 was $2.3 million compared to $0.4 million for the same period in 2005, an increase of $1.9 million. Product sales of BiDil® (isosorbide dinitrate/hydralazine hydrochloride) accounted for all of the Company’s revenue during the first quarter of 2006, and license fees accounted for all of the Company’s revenue during the first quarter of 2005.
