Standing with his hands in the pockets of a trim navy blue pinstripe suit, a sheepish look painted on his face, Thomas Fagan sounded like he was at wits end when he spoke in the hallways of Mercer County criminal court.
“This has been going on since 2009,” Fagan, the former Bergen County chief executive of the medical device company Energex, said about his never-ending fight with the state of New Jersey. “I just want it to be over, one way or another.”
The 61-year-old said what was on the minds of all of those involved in the criminal trial Tuesday.
