Midlothian’s place as a centre of scientific excellence was further cemented this week with the opening of a new lab. Up to 40 new jobs could be created at expanding Roslin biotech firm, Ingenza, as the new tissue culture suite comes on stream. The state-of-the-art clean room will expand the company’s capabilities to construct efficient cell lines to produce human therapeutics. The work will complement Ingenza’s microbial strain construction expertise.
