HOUSTON, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Millar, Inc., a leader in catheter-based and wireless pressure sensing technology, today announced the appointment of Tim Daugherty as Chief Executive Officer and President. Tim Daugherty, who served as President, succeeded Craig Thummel, previous CEO and member of the Board of Directors, July 1, 2016.
Over the last 13 years, Tim Daugherty has been integral to achieving Millar’s strategic goals in advancing product development within the clinical cardiovascular and telemetry markets. His role as President over the last year has proven his ability to translate vision and strategy into world-class execution and bring together global teams. His direction will serve the company well as Millar strives to enable new scientific discoveries and expand boundaries of medical understanding that improve patient outcomes around the world. Tim will continue to inspire, energize and connect with Millar employees, partners, customers and global leaders to develop a stronger, more strategically focused Millar.
Craig Thummel initially announced his 2016 retirement late last year and began establishing a “NEXTGEN PLAN” to equip the company for a seamless transition into its next chapter. He will continue in an advisory role through August 31, 2016.
