Stocks and Shares -- The US based pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK) is planning to expand its Treyburn Corporate Park in Durham by adding a new 70,000-square-foot facility.
The expansion will start this year and will be used to manufacture live virus vaccines.
John Wagner, Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE:MRK)’s plant manager at Treyburn Corporate Park said, “The expansion that was started this year will bring the size of a bulk live virus production facility at the plant to about 270,000 square feet and will be used to help supplement production of live vaccines that is done in a plant in Pennsylvania.”
