ProMED Design Concepts is building a new manufacturing facility and plans to add 30 employees in the next 18 months. Brighton, Tenn.-based ProMED is self-financing and building the $1 million, 15,000-square-foot facility to replace its current 3,500-square-foot facility. ProMED makes tools and instruments that are used by the medical device industry. Company CFO Carolyn Morrison says the expansion will allow ProMED to increase production and take on new contracts. ProMED had sales of more than $1.5 million in 2011 and is expected to exceed $1.75 million in sales this year.
