Medical Care Technologies, Inc. Beats in the Heart of China’s Megacity

BEIJING, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Care Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB: MDCE) - In the Pearl River Delta region of Southern China, construction of a six year, $304 billion plan is underway that will combine nearly one hundred fifty major infrastructure projects (including transportation, water, energy and telecommunications networks) into an economic powerhouse with four times the population of New York City.

Earlier this year ground was broken on a high speed rail system that will link nine cities in China‘s Guangdong Province into one, connecting the cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Huizou and Zhaoqing, putting them within an hour’s reach of Hong Kong. China‘s ‘megacity’ will cover 40,000 square kilometers (16,000 square miles) with a combined estimated population of 42 million.

It is here that children’s healthcare service provider Medical Care Technologies, Inc. headquartered in Beijing, China, plans to launch its flagship pediatric health and wellness center, through its Hong Kong based subsidiary, ReachOut Holdings Limited.

Already a favored player with the Chinese government (which places acute emphasis on the health and wellbeing of future generations), Medical Care Technologies, Inc. has a huge competitive advantage by focusing on China‘s children within the healthcare segment.

The City of Dongguan has been selected as the location of choice to showcase the Company’s fusion of personal family friendly pediatric care with industry leading communications and information technology, creating an integrated system that will allow residents to travel freely and use the healthcare system of all the connected cities.

Medical Care’s scouting team has sourced a prime area in Dongguan to construct a 4,000+ square foot children’s healthcare facility that will be designed to serve a metropolitan area of 10 million people with an estimated 1 million children.

“It was evident early in the citing process that the City of Dongguan was a perfect choice to establish our flagship pediatric center,” stated Luis Kuo, Chief Operating Officer of Medical Care. “Our scouting team has received immeasurable assistance from the Dongguan community, as well as significant support from a host of medical professionals and civic leaders. There is a deep-seated dedication to taking care of people here.”

Dongguan was also chosen for its ability to directly serve the two neighboring municipalities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen, home to over 25 million residents. Management expects to decide on a final location for its first children’s health clinic by the end of the second quarter of 2011 at the latest, and with construction of the health clinic to commence in late fall 2011. It was initially anticipated that the children’s health center would open its doors to serve the community in spring of 2012 but reports from within the Company suggest it could be as early as October 2011.

Though the term ‘megacity’ is sidestepped by Chinese media and officials, the uniting of the Pearl River Delta cities into one progressive metropolis of over 42 million people, will dwarf New York City and is likely to overtake Tokyo as one of the world’s leading economic centers, not to mention Beijing and Shanghai.

Medical Care Technologies, Inc. will be its beating heart.
