Health Care Services Corporation Operates Blue Cross and Blue Shield® Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas
IRVINE, CA, and HERSTAL, BELGIUM - October 27, 2016 - MDxHealth SA (Euronext: MDXH.BR) today announced that Health Care Services Corporation (HCSC) has issued coverage for patients meeting the eligibility criteria established under the positive medical policy on the ConfirmMDx® for Prostate Cancer test.
HCSC, a Mutual Legal Reserve Company and an Independent Licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, is the largest customer-owned health insurer in the United States and fourth largest overall, operating through HCSC’s Blue Cross and Blue Shield® Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. About ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer
ConfirmMDx for Prostate Cancer is the first epigenetic, and only tissue-based test in the 2016 NCCN Guidelines for early detection of prostate cancer which addresses false negative biopsy concerns. It is the only molecular diagnostic test that provides a very high negative predictive value (NPV) of 96% for clinically significant prostate cancers, and 90% NPV for all prostate cancers, as well as prostate mapping of the test results to help guide repeat biopsies.
