KING OF PRUSSIA, PA, January 15, 2009 – MDS Pharma Services, a leading provider of innovative drug discovery and development solutions, has appointed Jessica Liu, M.D., to the position of Clinical Operations Director and Head of the Asia-Pacific region for its late-stage clinical trial management division. The appointment supports the MDS business unit’s well-established and growing presence there and strengthens its ability to serve clients in an increasingly important emerging geography.

Prior to joining MDS Pharma Services, Dr. Liu was with Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) for ten years, most recently in Brussels where she managed international BMS projects. She began her career as a resident physician in the Endocrinology Department of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital in Beijing followed by 15 years in clinical research, including leadership roles in clinical operations, project management and medical affairs. Dr. Liu holds a Medical Doctorate degree from China’s prestigious University of Beijing and a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the University of Basel in Switzerland.
