LOUIS, Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Mallinckrodt Inc., a business unit of Tyco Healthcare, today announced that it has signed agreements covering five of its imaging product categories with Premier Purchasing Partners, L.P. The agreements’ terms span three years, effective on January 1, 2007, and broaden the scope of Mallinckrodt products available to Premier member healthcare facilities.
The products covered by these agreements include Mallinckrodt’s complete portfolio of contrast media agents, radiopharmaceuticals, barium, and injectors, all of which are used to perform various diagnostic imaging procedures. Also for the first time, the company’s OptiMARK® (gadoversetamide injection) magnetic resonance contrast agent will be available under contract to all Premier members.

Mallinckrodt is one of the largest suppliers of radiopharmaceuticals in the United States and the company now can better serve Premier member facilities with a distribution network that gives nearly 90 percent of Premier members the ability to purchase unit dose radiopharmaceutical products from a contracted radiopharmacy.
