At least six purported class-action lawsuits have been filed against Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc., claiming that the company's board of directors conducted an allegedly unfair process in lining up a $10.4 billion deal to be acquired by Amgen Inc. The lawsuits, Onyx said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Friday, were filed between Aug. 28 and Sept. 4, and one already has been dismissed at the request of the plaintiff. One of the suits was filed by the Louisiana Municipal Policy Employees' Retirement System.
