KalVista Pharmaceuticals Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock

Kalvist Pharmaceuticals, Inc. a clinical stage pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule protease inhibitors, announced today that it intends to offer shares of common stock in an underwritten public offering.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. & SALISBURY, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- KalVista Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: KALV), a clinical stage pharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule protease inhibitors, announced today that it intends to offer shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. In addition, KalVista intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day over-allotment option to purchase additional shares of its common stock offered in the public offering at the public offering price less underwriting discounts and commissions. All of the shares will be offered and sold by KalVista. The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or as to the actual size or terms of the offering.

KalVista intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to fund late-stage development of KVD900, including beyond anticipated Phase 3 data and a potential larger Phase 2 trial and other activities to accelerate the timeline for a new drug application, and to support accelerated development of additional hereditary angioedema (HAE) and oral diabetic macular edema (DME) programs. The focus of the additional HAE program will be on a novel compound for prophylactic use. The remainder of the net proceeds, if any, will be used for general corporate purposes.
