Ireland To Host BioPharmaAmbition 2016 And First MIT Health Hackathon

Major conference with US FDA, UK NICE and senior research and industry innovation leaders

WHAT: BioPharma Ambition® - multi-platform event to inspire and showcase innovation in manufacturing and healthcare solutions. Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) will co-host a health hackathon in partnership with Dublin City University, Alpha.

WHY: With international policy leaders, renowned researchers and senior industry personnel, the event will highlight the ambition of the industry for the health and well-being of populations. It will showcase the latest research and how Ireland will support discovery, development and manufacturing for innovation in healthcare.

WHO: Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), BioPharma Chem Ireland (BPCI) and National Institute for BioProcessing Research and Training to host the event.

Featured Speakers:

• Dr. William Kopcha, Director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Office of Pharmaceutical Quality, addressing aligning policy regulation, innovation and quality in pharmaceuticals.

• Sir Andrew Dillon, CEO of UK National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, addressing how NICE will influence and facilitate pharmaceutical innovation in health services.
