Internal Fixation Systems Announces Sale of Modular Locking Small Fragment System

MIAMI, Oct. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Internal Fixation Systems, Inc. (OTC QB: IFIX) today announces that it has commenced offering for sale the initial modules (consisting of basic instruments and screws and 1/3 tubular plates) of its U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved small fragment system which will be used to treat bone fractures and osteotomies. “We believe our new modular set design is innovative in the industry,” said Internal Fixation Systems President and CEO, Stephen Dresnick, MD. “Rather than have large sets with multiple types of plates, our system makes more efficient use of inventory by standardizing instruments and surgical trays across product lines. This allows us to pass along greater savings to our customers and ultimately to patients.
