People with high blood pressure (BP) who are often prescribed with a number of drugs to be taken daily will find relief from a new implantable device called Bio Q, that significantly and permanently reduces a person’s BP. The device will be marketed in the next three years. Developed in Australia to reduce BP and increase the flow of blood in coronary arteries of the heart, Bio Q passed safety related tests that were conducted on two heart patients at Frontier Lifeline Hospital in Chennai.
