The Company has been listed on Nasdaq for sixteen years. Chairman and CEO of Hologic, Jack Cumming, will preside over the Nasdaq opening bell ceremony at the Nasdaq Market Site, located at 4 Times Square, New York City.
According to the American Cancer Society, Breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women, and more than 211,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to occur among women in the United States this year. Breast cancer ranks as the second leading cause of cancer related deaths among women and caused an estimated 40,000 deaths in 2005. Over a lifetime, one in eight women will develop breast cancer and today there are approximately 2.3 million women living in the U.S. who have been treated for breast cancer.
