Dr. Moore is a former US Assistant Surgeon General and has served with the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) where he was responsible for development support within the Office of the Secretary, with primary emphasis on Continental Africa and other less developed countries of the world. He had served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has also served as the Chief Epidemiologist with the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at the Food and Drug Agency (FDA).
